Volunteer Programs offer a unique opportunity for interested individuals, couples, groups and organizations to make a contribution to Nepali society. Volunteers simultaneously experience the rich culture, natural splendor daily life of Nepal, one of the most beautiful countries of the world.
The degree to which volunteers contribute to Nepali communities varies according to motivation and personal capacity; however, no experience is necessary and CCC strongly encourages all applicants. In fact, we only have two requirements for our volunteers:
1) a positive outlook and
2) a strong desire to help Orphanage in Nepal.
All volunteers will enjoy a unique opportunity for travel, adventure and exploration (both geographical and self-exploration). Every year, a large number of international volunteers join the Chetna Children Center Volunteers program and return home with everlasting memories

Our Program

CCC has designed the Child Sponsorship Programme with the idea and hope that small contributions of money and supplies can benefit and even change the lives of many poor and needy children and their communities. CCC involves local community leaders in the selection process, ensures that all sponsorship funds go directly to the child and their education, and stays in close contact and communication with the child and their family, helping to ensure the success and continuation of their education.
Parents play a major role in their children's education, as children spend the majority of their time at home and only five to six hours a day in school- that is, if they attend school. Therefore, CCC aims to work with children as well as their parents in an effort to increase the general populations' confidence in the value of education.

What does CCC do?
CCC provides the link between the sponsor and the child by:
Collecting children's photos and biographical information, and sending all the information and details to prospective sponsors.
Regularly visiting the children, their schools, and their parents
Collecting children's progress reports for CCC files and regularly sending copies to the sponsors
Helping the children to make birthday, New Year and Christmas greeting cards for their sponsors

Who will receive support in the Child Sponsor Programme?
Children who are:
Financially very poor
From schedule caste (the "untouchables") families
Orphans
Female (Traditionally, the education of girls has been discouraged, especially in rural areas or poorer families)
From underprivileged groups
Physically or mentally handicapped

v CCC members working for the protection and care of children especially in difficult circumstances from the remote area have learned several new lessons to assist us with further developing and improving our program .
v CCC members had to face the parents of Dalit Children who knew nothing about child rights . They were unaware of any kind of professional skills .
v Exploitation of Children due to the socio-econimic conditions have forced them to go to the streets . There aren't any numbers decreasing .
v If this situation continues to increase and if no one comes forward to assist them then there is certain that the nation would be deprived of strong manpower to build in near future .
v To overcome this kind of pathetic condition the government has to assist organizations and encourage them which is not seen up to its expected level .
v Although CCC conducts quite few trainings for social mobilizers and others working in the area of child rights and its upliftment , it has found that their follow – up on their progress and need have been unsatisfactory . The society has been passive in it . For it , CCC needs many Volunteers and Supports .
v We have found that CCC needs to develop a better system of monitoring the number of children receiving support directly and indirectly .
v CCC members have found that a large number of children have experienced corporal punishment within the school system . Its members have tried to raise voice in this matter but it has also understood the root of the problem in order to truly address the issue . As a result they have planned to conduct a survey of children , parents , and teachers as well as to analyze case studies in future .

ChetanaChildrenCenter( CCC ) : was founded by a group of University students who were very much concerned and bothered about the living condition of the most underprivileged and low caste children of Nepal . The concept of social service was initialize by a small boy working in a restaurant . All the members of CCC are deeply concerned about the number of children living on the margins of society , out of reach from existing social institutions . They aspired and wish to raise the issue of child labour and child rights for the social emancipation and for the integration of child rights to the broader social movement for freedom , peace and equality . They also dedicated themselves to establish concerned group which would help protect children living and working in the most difficult circumstances . CCC's dedication started since 2003 to provide health and quality education for the needy children in a peaceful environment . This organization has been legally registered in District Administration Office , Kaski , Nepal , as per the Institution Registration Act 1986 ( Reg. no , 1267 ) and also associated with Social Welfare Council ( SWC ) , Kathmandu ( No . 16068 ) . Its commitment is to provide an opportunity for the Poor , Needy , Socially dominated and the Orphans . All the members of CCC are quite aware that : a child becomes a pillar for a better tomorrow – So , it believes that working for them is just not a charitable action but one which can bring about social change .
